Polywrapping

With 5 Sitma polywrapping lines we polywrap around 5 million items per month, we can insert up to 10 items per pack, and provide inkjet printing or carrier sheet addressing.

BTB Mailflight is one of the UK's leading polywrapping specialists. We have 5 Sitma polywrapping lines and we polywrap millions of items a month including magazine polywrapping, catalogue polywrapping, direct mail polywrapping.

Our polywrapping services are ISO9001:2008 quality approved, and as well as polywrapping we offer a number of value added options i.e. inkjet addressing, laser printing, polywrap film buying, UK and international postal services etc.

Our polywrapping service includes:

Catalogue & Brochure Polywrapping

BTB Mailflight polwrap some of UK's most famous catalogues. This includes polywrapping over 19 million catalogues for a leading clothing catalogue company in 2009, but we also handle catalogue polywrapping for much smaller catalogue companies too.

We also provide fulfilment of catalogue requests from our fulfilment center, these are typically polybagged and labeled, but we also provide envelope enclosing services and if the daily volumes are big enough we can also set up a polywrapping line.

Financial Mailings

We fulfil Report and Accounts polywrapping mailings for a number of PLCs where 100% reconciliation is required. We have strict procedures to ensure we can meet the necessary requirements, and these are governed by the ISO9001:2008 quality standards.

Our Sitma polywrapping lines can include up to 10 inserts, including three selective inserts, and with 5 Sitma polywrapping lines we can handle polywrapped mailings from 1000 to 2000,000 items.

Typically clients that place their report and accounts polywrapping work with us will want to be onsite to ensure we achieve the accuracy that is needed and we can accommodate this.

Polywrapping Prices

Polywrapping prices are determined by the costs and output speeds. Outputs are effected by many variables - principally:

Number and type of inserts
Position of seal
Pack changes
Thickness of poly wrap film
Inserting inside of magazine / catalogue or onserting
Selective insertion requirements
Number of sortations
Size of material
Length of run
Quality of material
Presentation of material
Inkjett addressing or carrier sheet

With so much to consider this is why we ask for a full brief so we can price up a job as accurately as possible.

We Supply Polythene

We buy polythene direct from the manufacturer and in such high volumes that it gives us significant buying power, polywrap varieties include:

Plain polythene, from 17 to 50 micron is typical.
Plain polythene wrap with a white band for inkjet addressing.
Printed polythene, whether it's full colour, special colours, or simply a spot colour.
Biodegradable polywrap.
Recycleable polywrap.
Clear or printed polybags for low run polywrapping / polybagging.

Production Planning and Account Management

We appreciate the need to be as accurate and flexible as possible with production schedules. Our plans are communicated effectively at morning and afternoon cross-functional planning meetings, and schedules are available to be viewed on our intranet and on a 42” plasma screen in the Production Planning department. So when clients contact their Account Executive to find out the status of their job, or to see if we have space to fit in a mailing the information is easily available.

About Sitma (Our Polywrapping Line Manufacturer)

Sitma, established in 1965, is the world leader in printed media, packaging and distribution systems. Active in over 70 countries, our corporate offices and factory are located in Spilamberto (Modena) in northern Italy.

Sitma began business manufacturing equipment for the packaging industry. Since that time Sitma has expanded and specialized in the graphic arts industry achieving leadership in this business segment by supplying high quality systems dedicated to the newspaper, magazine, book and direct mail / fulfilment industries.

Constant growth enabled Sitma to reach a leading role in the domestic market. Gradually, the know-how was exported through out Europe and to the other continents.

Sorting, Bagging, Tagging, Strapping and Paletisation

All polywrapped mailings are sorted at the data processing stage, so the items can be bagged and tagged at the end of the production lines. We are experienced in adhering to the requirements of the various postal operators that collect from us.

We make pollywrapped mailings ready for collection by Royal Mail, alternative UK postal services, international postal operators, and courier companies every day. Wherever possible these processes are automated to reduce costs and improve production speeds and quality.

Postal Services for Polywrapped Items

Catalogues and direct mail
Most of the direct mail and catalogues that we polywrap are also mailed by us so the packs are either inkjet addressed or have a carrier sheet inserted in the polywrap too. Polywrapped mailings can achieve Royal Mail discounts and utilise our Down Stream Access postal service, and although some of our international postal services only suit enveloped mail we can still provide a postal solution to all countries for polywrapped direct mail too.

Magazines, Journals and newspapers
The majority of magazines, journals, and newspapers that we polywrap are circulated by post (although we do handle newsstand polywrapping and distribution too). We can sort and prepare polywrapped publications to the requirements of Royal Mail’s Presstream postal service, for Downstream Access, and for collection and distribution through our international postal network.
