We also achieve wholesale postage rates from UK postal operators so can pass cost savings onto you, and we can of course Mailsort your mailings to achieve Royal Mail postal discounts too.

Our UK postal solution
We obtain wholesale postal rates from UK postal providers. So instead of working directly with the likes of Royal Mail, UK Mail, DHL, and Secured Mail it could be cheaper for you to use our postal accounts.

If Royal Mail is the best option for your mailing we can produce your mailing to their requirements and sort it so you achieve maximum discounts i.e. Mailsort (including OCR and CBC), Presstream, Clean Mail, Advertising Mail, Sustainable Mail etc.

Our international postal solution
As part of the La Poste Group we are part of the world’s third largest postal group and we have privileged access to this global postal network. However we are not limited to this. We also work with many other postal operator partners and private postal companies worldwide, and we operate the widest range of direct entry international postal services from the UK.

Most of the international mail that we distribute is produced by us too, but we can also collect/receive bulk international mail from you and consolidate it at our operation near Heathrow before posting it internationally.

Our courier services
We provide a wide range of services for distributing parcels throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. This includes Express and Economy options, with delivery to residential and business addresses.

We offer signed-for services ideal for distributing higher value parcels, and we can also provide tracked services that are very low cost and perfect for distribution of lower value parcels. As we are part of the La Poste Group, BTB Mailflight are experts in delivery of parcels to France as we have priviledged access to the La Poste network..

Maximising Your Royal Mail Discounts

We can maximise the discount you recieve from Royal Mail for your UK mailings by producing, sorting, bagging, and tagging your mailing to their requirements.

BTB Mailflight are one of Royal Mail's largest partners and we are able to ensure clients can take advantage of Royal Mail's wide range of discounted options including:

As well as mailsorting mailing data and bagging and tagging UK mailings we are licensed to print barcodes for CBC Mailsort mailings, and are able to print Mailsort OCR approved fonts. We can also set up PO Boxes and handle the mailing returns and responses.

We have partnerships with alternative UK postal operators and the wholesale postage rates they offer us can often provide savings over the equivalent Royal Mail service, and we can pass savings on to you.

The UK postal market was opened up to competition in 2003, ending Royal Mail's 350 year monopoly, so for certain types of mail it is now possible to make considerable postage savings using what are known as DownStream Access postal services (DSA).

We have developed our own DownStream access solution with sorted Downstream Access and unsorted Downstream Access mailing options.

Our Downstream Access solution can be up to 10% cheaper than Royal Mail's Mailsort 2 service, and can even be cheaper then Mailsort 3!
Our Downstream Access solution delivers in 2 days (not 2 to 3 days like Mailsort 2 or up to 7 days for mailsort 3).

Injecting Mail into the UK from Overseas

Send your bulk mail to us for final sortation and injection into the UK postal network to achieve UK postage savings.

As well as handling UK mailings for many UK companies we also work with international businesses looking to inject mail into the UK postal network and achieve postage discounts.

We handle unsorted and pre-sorted mail coming into Heathrow, consolidate this mail, undertake the necessary administration, and utilise either our Royal Mail account or our DownStream Access solution.

- Example 1) An A4 single sided letter printed in black text on a 2 colour letterhead, folded to A5, and inserted in a windowed C5 envelope along with an 8 page leaflet.
- Example 2) An A5 catalogue, approx 46 pages, to be inkjet addressed and polywrapped in clear polythene with 6 A5 inserts.
- Example 3) A t-shirt and a baseball cap to be collated and inserted into a jiffybag along with a personalised letter, and an address label and postmark to be applied to the outer.

How Our International Postal Solution Works - The Basics

Our international network of mailing agents has taken over 20 years to foster and our Director of this department clocks up thousands of air miles per year managing these relationships. We have to deal with numerous languages and time zones on a daily basis, so it is very complex, but in basic terms this is what we do.

We produce international mail for many clients i.e. print it, fulfil it, and sort it to the strict requirements of the postal operator of each individual country.

We also take mail produced by our clients and consolidate that too.

The mail is delivered to our Heathrow operation where it is further sorted and bagged up ready to go onboard the aeroplane's of the various postal operators.

The mail is injected directly into the destination postal system or is delivered by our hand delivery agent in that country.

We use a wide range of postal operators and mailing agents to offer you our lowest prices i.e. if a mailing list contains addresses in Nigeria, France, Germany, and Japan then we are likely to use four different partners for that one mailing i.e. Mail Africa, La Poste, Deutsche Post, and Hermes.
