Most of our international mailing clients also use our direct mail fulfilment services as we have the experience and production capabilities to print the postage marks, and addresses in the formats required by the overseas postal authorities, and sort, bag and label the mail ready for collection in the stipulated manner. However we can also provide instructions to another printer or mailing house if we are not doing the fulfilment so you can still benefit from our postage rates.

International Direct Mail Marketing
Direct mail is an important part of The Economist's subscriptions marketing strategy and includes renewals, acquisition, new-name, and re-qualification campaigns.
BTB Mailflight handle their low volume daily subscription renewal mailings as well as their large volume overseas direct mail campaigns which are typically between 500,000 and 1 million items each time.
BTB Mailflight supply the print and materials for these campaigns as well as handling the fulfilment, and our international direct mail solution ensures they benefit from a range of services and low prices.

Magazine Mailings
We fulfill the weekly UK circulation of 20,000 magazines. We supply the polythene and carrier sheets, process the data, polywrap the magazine and prepare it for collection by Royal Mail.
Subscription Renewals Letters
To encourage subscribers to renew their subscription Guardian and Money Observer
send out a variety of letters containing different incentives and messages. The format of the letter will vary depending on the individual subscriber, the country they reside in, how close they are to the renewal date etc.
BTB Mailflight receive a weekly file from Guardian and run it through our system to generate the appropriate letter version (over 100 variants). We provide the paper and envelopes for these mailings.
International Direct Mailings
To promote the newspaper to prospective readers Guardian develop international direct mail campaigns. They send out two main mailings a year with 150-200,000 items mailed each time. They test a variety of mailing packs and use envelopes, polythene wrapping and polybags. These mailings are distributed internationally using a variety of services to achieve the best
results.
International Mail & Courier Services
Verizon are one of the world's leading providers of high-growth communications services and the largest provider of wireline and wireless communications. Their clients include some of the worlds largest companies who need Verizons services in order to run their business.
Verizon are very sensitive to this so they operate a robust invoicing and disconnection notice letter cycle. This includes mailing the final invoice reminder / disconnection letter via a signed-for and trackable international courier service provided by BTB Mailflight. They therefore know for sure that they have done everything possible to make sure that their customer has received the invoice and knows of the situation in writing.
We print Verizon's invoices three times a week and mail the letters worldwide. We then provide the intelligence Verizon need through:
Daily Reporting
- Verizon require a full reconciliation of the number of invoices / letters sent in the file verses the number placed into the postal system
- A breakdown by each letter of the type of postal service used to send the letter / invoice.
- A tracking number of each invoice / letter sent by the signed-for mailing service and a link to a website where we can track the shipment
